地质学专业培养方案
Undergraduate Program in Geology
一、专业简介(Major Introduction)
地质学主要研究地球岩石圈物质组成、结构构造及演化历史。地质学研究和应用范围非常广泛,要求学生不仅掌握现代地质学基本理论和知识,具有坚实的基础的数学,物理和技术科学基础,而且要有良好的科学品质和合作精神。地质学应用广泛,涉及基础地质、能源和矿产资源、冶金、建材、材料科学、环境、工程建筑与稳定、地震预测预报、农业、旅游开发、空间探测等诸多方面。
地质学专业旨在培养学生扎实的地质学基本理论、基础知识、基本技能及相关学科知识;培养学生扎实的地质野外实践能力,熟悉地质科学等研究程序、方法、地质资料收集和处理过程、综合判定与解释的基本能力。学生毕业后,具有从事地质调查、矿产资源勘探开发、地震地质研究、工程稳定、环境调查、地质旅游规划与开发、空间探测等地质及相关方向的实际工作和技术管理能力,同时具备在科研机构和大中院校从事地质科学研究和教学的初步能力。
Geology is the science focusing on lithospheric composition, texture, structure and evolutionary history of the earth. Geology is a thinking, comprehensive and very practical science requiring the students not only master the basic knowledge of modern geology and theory, but also have a solid foundation of mathematics, physics and technology, and scientific quality and spirit of cooperation. Geology has wide range contents of research and application, which related to basic geology, energy and mineral resources, metallurgy, building material, materials science, environment, engineering construction and stability, earthquake prediction, agriculture, tourism development, space exploration and other aspects.
After a systematic education of Geology, students will have high scientific attainment, professional knowledge and practical working capability and can be occupied in the area of Geology investigation, exploration and development of mineral resources, earthquake Geology, environment investigation, Geology tourism, space probe and Geology-related work, as well as scientific research and education in institutes and colleges.
二、培养目标(Academic Objectives)
本专业培养的学生具备地质学基本理论、基本知识、基本技能和相关学科基础知识,具有较好的科学素养及在科研机构、学校从事地质科学研究或教学工作的初步能力,将成为能够在地矿、冶金、建材、石油、煤炭、材料、环境、基础工程、旅游开发和空间科技领域从事基础地质、矿产普查与勘探、技术开发与管理工作的高级专门人才。
Students major in geology will accept the professional training of basic geological theory, knowledge, skills and knowledge of related disciplines. After systematically training with geological scientific skills and ability, these students could engage in geological research and teaching in research institutes and schools, or they will become high-level expertise to deal with preliminary geological research, mineral prospecting and exploration, technological development and management in the field of geology, metallurgy, building materials, petroleum, coal, material, environment, infrastructure engineering, tourism and space science.
三、培养要求(Academic Requirement)
本专业毕业生应具有强健体魄和健康身心,达到国家规定的大学生体育和军事训练合格标准,具有坚实的数、理、化基础和较好的科学素养与合作精神。通过系统学习学科基础课程和相关专业核心课程,掌握地质学基础理论、基础知识和基本技能。通过系统的实践教学与创新创业培养,熟悉地质科学基础研究程序、实践实验方法,了解支撑地质学主要学科研究和发展的试验设备系统,具备初步的科研和相关生产工作的能力。通过参与学术活动,掌握文献检索、资料查阅工作方法,了解地质学基础理论研究的前沿问题和发展动态与趋势,具备一定的解决问题的能力与科学创新精神。
Graduated students should meet the national requirements of physical education and military training standard for college student with fitness and health. They will have solid foundation in mathematics, physics and chemistry with good scientific literacy and the spirit of cooperation. Students should master the basic geology knowledge, theory and skills based on systemically learning of curriculum, including disciplinary fundamental courses and specialized core courses. They will be familiar with the basic research program of geological science, practice and experimental methods, and know the experimental facilities that back up research and development of geology with preliminary ability for scientific research and related production work after systemically training with practice education and cultivation of innovation and entrepreneurship. Students should be able to conduct bibliographic retrieval and access to information, and be well understand the recent status, frontier issues, major problems and developing trend in mainly research fields of geology, and have abilities to solve problems with innovation.
四、学制与学位(Length of Schooling and Degree)
学制四年,学生修满规定的最低毕业学分,达到培养目标规定的各项要求后,授予理学学士学位。
Length of schooling is four years. After getting the prescribed minimum school credits and reaching all the requirements of the educational target, students will be awarded bachelor degree of science.
五、核心课程(Core Courses)
1.课程设置
总体思路:课程设置采取“通识教育必修课程+学科基础课程+专业核心课程+实践与创新课程”的方式,将人文素质、科学素质教育与具有中国地质大学特色的地质专业教育相结合,同时强化专业核心课程和实践与创新课程教学,培养和增强学生专业与实践能力。通过适当设置选修课程,为培养学生特长和爱好,在某些专业领域或其他相关专业知识的学习和深化方面提供良好支持,从而使同一专业培养出的学生具有不同特色的专长,充分体现“特色+精品”的办学理念。
基本原则:通识教育必修课程的设置, 以使学生具备良好的人文素质为目标,满足学生形成大学本科共同基础课为原则;学科基础课程的设置,以使学生具备进一步深造所需要的基本科学素质为目标,以及满足学生进行地质学类相关专业学习、研究、生产工作所需要的基础知识和理论为基本目标。
专业核心课程的设置,使学生具备初步的地学相关生产和研究应具备的基本理论、知识和工作技能,以及具备初步的专业研究与良好的科学思维能力为目标;实践与创新课程的设置旨在巩固所学基本知识,提高学生的实践能力;设置部分选修课程,主要在于帮助学生在某些专业领域的知识深化及拓宽,为其进一步深造或者走向工作岗位奠定进一步的基础。
Curriculum
General idea:Curriculum adopts the approach of "Required Courses of General Education + Disciplinary Foundamental Courses + Specialized Fundamental Courses + Practice + Creativity and Entrepreneurship", which combined the education of human quality and scientific quality with the typical professional education of China University of Geosciences, and through which to foster and enhance the students' ability in scientific practices. Optional courses provide students with a good platform on studying professional fields or other relevant professional knowledge according to their specialties and preferences, so as to enable the students of the same major possessing different special skills or knowledge, which fully embodying the education idea of "characteristics + excellence".
Basic principles: Required Courses of General Education aim to enable students to have good humanistic quality to meet the students form the undergraduate common basic course on the principle; Disciplinary Foundamental Courses aim to enable students to be qualified for geological or other science professional learning and further studies.
Specialized Fundamental Courses aim to enable students to master the basic knowledge and theory required in geoscience study, research, production and geological-related production and research, as well as preliminary professional research ability and scientific thinking. Practice + Creativity and Entrepreneurship aim to consolidate the basic knowledge, improve their practical ability, as well as scientific research. Optional courses aim to broaden and deepen students' knowledge in some other fields, lay the foundation for their further study or work, which is an important reason to set the optional courses on the higher grades.

(2)创新创业实践(Creativity and Entrepreneurship)(6学分)
包括社会实践、科研训练和创新创业活动3大类。每位学生在校期间须完成6学分方可毕业。其中,社会实践2学分,包括志愿者、勤工俭学、暑期社会实践等;科研训练2学分;创新创业活动2学分。
创新创业活动学分的认定按照教务处相关规定执行。
