地球化学专业培养方案
Undergraduate Program in Geochemistry
一、专业简介(Major Introduction)
地球化学专业旨在培养德、智、体、美全面发展的具有坚实基础理论知识,扎实掌握实用技能的地球化学专门人才。学生完成学业后,具有从事地球化学专业的理论和实际工作能力,并有较广的知识面,具备进一步学习深造的基础,能适应二十一世纪社会对地球化学人才多方面的需要,既可从事理论研究,也能胜任应用领域的工作。可在大专院校、科研院所、国家机关以及国土、资源、环境、石油、海洋、农业、城建等部门从事科研、生产或管理工作。
Geochemistry is a secondary subject of Geological Sciences. Geology takes the Earth as the research target, while geochemistry mainly emphasizes on elements of the Earth (including solar system), which focuses on chemical components, chemical reaction and chemcial evolution of the Earth, which means that it makes researches of the Earth in the way of studying chemical movements of matters. Geochemistry is a marriage and interdisciplinary subjects of geology and chemistry, which has become a subject that gives explanatary and understanding to questions of earth sciences. Geochemistry is a science that is very thinking-provocative, comprehensive and practical, which requiring people engaged in not only master the basic knowledge, theory, and technical ability of modern geology, but also have a solid foundation of mathematics, physics and chemistry, especially the basic theoretical knolwledge of modern chemistry, and also should have a good scientific quality and a cooperating spirit. This major is aimed at preparing students in professional geochemistry personnel for a solid foundation of theoretical knowledge and mastering solid practical skills morally, intellectually and physically. After a systematic education of geochemistry, students will be provided with theoretical and practical work abilities engaging in geochemistry, as well as comprehensive knowledge and forming a foundation for futher studies, and can meet the extensive needs of 21st century society in geochemistry talents, who can not only engage in theoretical researches but also be qualified for applicative fields, such as occuping positions in scientific research, production or management in colleges and universities, institutions of scientific researches, governmental offices, and departments of land, resources, environment, petroleum, marine, agriculture and urban construction
二、培养目标(Academic Objectives)
本专业培养的学生具有自然科学基本理论知识和一定人文社会科学知识;掌握地球化学专业的基础知识、基本理论、基本技能,具有独立获取知识、提出问题、分析问题和解决问题的基本能力和开拓创新的精神;具备从事地球化学专业工作和适应相近专业工作的基本能力和素质。
Training objectives and requirements: Students will possess basic theories of Natural Science and a certain scientific knowledge of Social Science, master elementary knowledge, fundamental theories and basic skills of geochemistry major, and quest for knowledge independently, have basic abilities to raise questions, analyze and solve problems with spirit of innovation, also have primary abilities and qualities of engaging in geochemistry and related job.
三、培养要求(Academic Requirement)
本专业毕业生应具有强健体魄和健康身心,达到国家规定的大学生体育和军事训练合格标准。毕业生应获得以下几方面的知识和能力:
掌握数学、物理、化学等相关学科的基本理论、知识和技能,具有厚实的专业基础知识;掌握基础地质和地球化学的基本理论、技能、工作方法和实验技能,具有对固体矿产地质和环境地质以及基础地球化学理论研究的基本能力;掌握文献检索、资料查阅的工作方法;了解支持地球化学学科发展的相关知识和实验方法,以及它们所针对的主要基础问题和应用问题。
Graduated students should meet the national requirements of physical education and military training standard for college student. Graduates should acquire several aspects of knowledge and abilities as follows: master basic theories, knowledge and skills of mathematics, physics and chemistry related with solid major fundamental knowledge; master basic theories, skills, operating methods and experimental skills of general geology and geochemistry; master basic theories, and basic abilities to study solid mineral geology, environmental geology and general geochemistry theories; master how to document retrieval and literature reviewing, know the test equipment system about studying and developing main subjects supporting geochemistry, and know the major fundamental issues and application problems about the equipment system.
四、学制与学位(Length of Schooling and Degree)
学制四年,学生修满规定的最低毕业学分,达到培养目标规定的各项要求后,授予理学学士学位。
Length of schooling is four years. After getting the prescribed minimum school credits and reaching all the requirements of the educational target, students will be awarded bachelor degree of science.
五、核心课程(Core Courses)
1.课程设置
总体思路:课程设置采取“通识基础课+学科基础课+专业基础课+专业主干课+实践必修课+选修课”的方式,将人文素质、科学素质教育与具有中国地质大学特色的专业教育相结合,同时通过特色实践教学,培养和增强学生科学实践能力。选修课在为学生根据自己的特长和爱好,在某些专业领域或其他相关专业知识的学习和深化方面提供良好的支持,同时支持学生选修“创新创业实践”课程,从而使同一专业培养出的学生具有不同特色的专长,充分体现“特色+精品”的办学理念。
基本原则:通识基础课的设置, 以使学生具备良好的人文素质,满足学生形成大学本科共同基础课为原则;学科基础课的课程设置以使学生具备从事地质学、地球化学及其它理学类专业学习和进一步深造所需要的基本科学素质为目标;专业基础课的设置,以满足学生进行地质学、地球化学类相关专业学习研究、生产工作所需要的基础知识和理论为基本目标;专业课的设置,使学生具备初步的地学相关生产和研究应具备的基本理论、知识和工作技能,以及具备初步的专业研究与良好的科学思维能力为目标;实践必修课旨在巩固所学基本知识,提高学生的实践能力;选修课主要帮助学生在某些专业领域的知识深化及拓宽,为其进一步深造或者走向工作岗位奠定进一步的基础,这也是将选修课放在高年级的主要考虑因素。
Curriculum
General idea: Curriculum arrangement includes adopting the method of “Liberal Education Courses +Disciplinary Fundamental Courses + Specialized Fundamental Courses + Main Specialized Courses + Field Courses+ Public Elective Courses”, combing humanity quality and science quality education with professional education with China University of Geosciences characteristic, and cultivating and enhancing students’ scientific practice abilities through practice teaching. On the basis of own specialty and interest, students can better study and deepen some professional fields or other related major through Public selective Courses, such as the course “Creativity and innovation”. Consequently, students will have different specialty from the same major, which reflect education philosophy of “characteristic+ quality”.
Fundamental principles: The arrangement of Liberal Education Courses is to satisfy students to complete undergraduate courses with good humanity quality; the arrangement of Disciplinary Fundamental Courses is aim to cultivate students’ basic scientific quality to research and further study engaging in geology, geochemistry and other natural science; the arrangement of Specialized Fundamental Courses is to meet students necessary basic knowledge and theories to study and engage in geology, geochemistry and related major ; the arrangement of Main Specialized Courses is to cultivate students basic theories, knowledge and working skills of geology related production and research with primary knowledge and good scientific thinking abilities; Field Courses is aim at strengthening students’ elemental knowledge and enhancing their practical abilities; Public Elective Courses mainly help students deepen and broaden knowledge in some professional fields for further study or moving towards the work position, which is the consideration that Public Elective Courses is arranged at college senior class.
2.专业核心课程:
《遥感地质学》、《地球化学》、《岩石地球化学》、《有机地球化学》、《计算地球化学》、《勘查地球化学》、《环境地球化学》、《矿床学基础》、《地球化学专业英语》、《样品分析与数据处理》等。
Specialized Fundamental Courses
Remote Sensing Geology, Geochemistry, Petrochemistry, Organic geochemistry, Computational Geochemistry, Exploration Geochemistry, Environmental Geochemistry, Introduction to ore Geology, Sample analysis & data processing, etc.
3.实践与创新课程
《军事理论及训练》、《思想政治社会实践》、《实验物理》、《实验化学》、《北戴河地质认识实习》、《周口店地质教学实习》、《地球化学综合实践》、《地球化学专业生产实习》、《毕业论文(地球化学)》、《社会实践》、《科研训练》、《创新创业活动》。
Practice and Creativity and Entrepreneurship
Military Theory and Practice, Political Social Practice, Physics Experiments, Chemistry Experiments, Geological Survey Field Trip in Beidaihe, Geological Survey Field Trip in Zhoukoudian, Comprehensive Geochemical Practice, Field Investigation for Geochemistry, BS thesis (Geochemistry), Social Practice, Research Practice, Creativity and Entrepreneurial Activity.
